The Workers
I lived in a city centre of Helsinki then. One day they started to build a storey house in my back yard. It took many years. I was filming their work, but most of the time they were standing. I bought a 16 mm BW film from the Sovjet Union and a camera called Krasnogorsk. I developed the film by myself in a dark room on the other side of the city. It was not easy to drive home by bike when the 30 meters of film was hanging in my bag. However, it was an art film.
